MHOR FESTIVAL 2017

Daft Funk are playing in my house in my house….

….. well, not my house, but at a Festival that is close to my heart and that we are doing our first pop up at this year…. Mhor Festival 2017.

Those who know Monachyle Mhor and the rest of the Mhor Collection (@themhorcollection) will be very aware of how wonderful the whole set up is; the food, the style, the atmosphere, all completely magical in it’s own quirky and wonderfully eccentric way!

Monachyle is a boutique hotel, they also have Mhor 84, a Motel on the A84 a favourite haunt for locals, walkers, cyclists etc. To add to the collection there is a bakery and a chippy… Seriously, what more do you want….

Well, they bring all of this together at the Mhor Festival every year. They have it in the grounds of the hotel, surrounded by the most stunning scenery, and showcase some amazing food (I’m talking oysters, crème brulee, a barbeque full of the most delicious cuts of meat, freshly grown on site vegetables…. I could go on…), music from the local bands and DJs (including Daft Funk), and entertainments for the kids. There is a bake off, a raft race, a pie and a pint, a panel rounding up the headlines of the weekend, funk yoga (yes that is a thing and I will definitely be there!) and THE FEAST. 5 courses, 5 chefs, this years line up is all female… I won’t start on this as I could go on…. it’s amazing and a lot of fun. Mhor knows how to throw a party.

When all of this is going on there is also a market and pop ups and we are completely delighted to be doing our first ever pop up there.

~ a Hand-picked bunch of great people, selling gorgeous products ~

After coming to the festival for years it seems so perfectly aligned that this is where we will do the first pop up. Running an online store is wonderful, but one thing I am really keen to do more of is show off my products. I love them all so much and I want people to be able to see and feel them and fall in love with them as much as I do!  I really miss meeting customers, so it will be fun being able to be part of it.

antique indigo throw, beachtowel, travel blanket, scarf

I have some amazing new products, including some antiques and new jewellery and I will of course be bringing a selection of my collection on the website. I have some things that just need to be seen and felt.  And there will be plenty of things for festival go-ers to buy in order to make their festival camping experience just that wee bit nicer…. We will have soaps, candles, blankets, a really exciting new range of knitwear beanies and some other fun bits.

Mifuko Kiondo basket, handwoven, storage, ethical, made in Kenya

It’s all happening on the last bank holiday weekend in May, 26th, 27th, 28th…. Book your tickets, pack your tent and get your party shoes on. AND come and see me…. I can’t wait to meet those of you I haven’t had the chance to yet.

The Market opens 11am until 5pm Saturday & Sunday.  For more details and to book tickets, please check out mhorfestival.net.
